Social Ministries at University Hills Lutheran Church

"For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." Galatians 5:13

At University Hills Lutheran Church in Denver we try to value each opportunity to serve that the Lord graciously provides us with. Our congregation members participate in many programs throughout each year, and we are always looking to learn of more ways that we can serve God by serving others.

Here are some examples of our regular activities through we participate in through the Social Ministry Department at University Hills Lutheran Church:
  • Serving meals at the Denver Rescue Mission
  • Gathering and donating school supplies for Lutheran Family Services annual School Supply Drive
  • Christmas Carolling to our home bound members and friends
  • Assisting families with new babies by providing meals
  • Community Easter egg hunts
  • Gathering toiletries for the homeless and elderly for Lutheran Family Services
  • Donating Thanksgiving food baskets for families in need through Lutheran Family Services
  • Collecting toy and clothing donations for families in need and foster families at Christmas for Lutheran Family Services
  • Assisting congregation members who are moving
  • We are always looking for new and unique ways to serve not only our members, but also the community. Each opportunity is a blessing!
Participation in these programs are not required, but members are welcome to participate as they are able and willing. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about how you can join us in serving God by serving others!
