Pastor David Vanderhyde


Pastor David Vanderhyde is a graduate of Concordia University, in Irvine California, where he completed his BA and received a Lutheran Teaching Certificate.  He and his wife, Ginny, whom he met at Concordia, were married in 1985.  Two weeks later they moved to Denver to begin their teaching assignments; David taught math and computer classes at Denver Lutheran High, and Ginny taught kindergarten at University Hills Lutheran School, to which David accepted a Call to be the principal and middle school teacher in 1992.  In 2009, David applied to and was accepted at Concordia Seminary, in St. Louis, Missouri.  Upon graduation from the seminary, University Hills Lutheran Church issued David a Call once again, this time to be their pastor.  He was ordained and installed at on August 4th, 2013.  David and Ginny have six children and one grandchild.
