Study Groups

We treasure the Word of God as our Lord's written record of how He, in His great mercy, has reconciled the world to Himself through the cross of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:16-21). As such, we recognize that His Word should be the most important thing in our lives. Jesus Himself reminds us: "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). We offer numerous opportunities to study His Word together throughout the week:

Adult Study Groups

Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study

10:30 a.m., following our regular Sunday Worship Service and Fellowship Time

Time: Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m.
Location: Pastor Vanderhyde's home, near our church*

Evening Adult Bible Study

Time: Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Location: a congregation member's home*
Current Topics: "Exploring God's Word - the Old Testament"

Understanding God's Word often means looking at it from a fresh perspective and getting "the big picture" as well as the important details.  This study helps readers gain a broader understanding of what each Testament means when viewed as a whole - not simply as a collection of individual books.

Children's Ministry

Sunday School classes are held weekly after our Sunday worship service while the Adult Bible Study is taking place, at 10:30 a.m.

Vacation Bible School is held during one week (Monday through Friday) each summer. Registration and cost is free. Please contact our church office at (303) 759-0161 for more information.

University Hills Lutheran Church loves little ones and encourages them to come worship with us every Sunday. Other unique seasonal activities and events are scheduled throughout the year. Contact us for more details.
